Sockeye Aug 14
« on: August 14, 2006, 11:07:45 AM »

Well another beautiful day on the river or should I say early morning. We decided to head out for first light to get a spot without snags and I got my limit by 6:45 am. My buddy got his limit as well and we where done by 8 am and on our way home for breakfast with the family. There sure seems to be more fish today then on wednesday. Hooked 6 landed 5 sockeye and I managed to hook an old boot( my buddy). He decided to change his leader right behind me even after telling him that that was not a good place. I thought he was out of the way and just as I was casting he moved back and I set the hook in the collar of his shirt. Man was he lucky and of coarse once we saw that he was fine I LMAO . He sure learned his lesson  ;D ;D ;D .

Fishing was HOT today, arrived at our bar at 7:30, and first 5 casts had my limit, as well as another guy in our group. 30 minutes later the 3rd guy in our group got his limit, while the 4th guy still hadnt touched anything. ;D about an hour later the 4th guy manages to get into 2 more and bring them in and we were able to make it back home by 10:30, only 10 minutes drive back to the house. :) My hands still reek of salmon as i type this, thats how good the fishing was!

You guy's all suck.  I'm stuck at the office and will be lucky to get out prior to the weekend.   My bro called me at 6:00 AM telling me he was on his way home with his limit.  Sounds like it's been a productive morning all over the river.

Glad someone's catching the fish, if it's not me might as well be someone :)

Hey ssab nik. Keep an eye out for me.  I am taking my brother out there tomorrow. Just look for the two big guys fishing together. He should be wearing his a firemen baseball cap( or his trailer park boys one) and I will be wearing my green sage hat. Good luck and tight lines.

Yes you now have to change it. Maybe you should change it to " I am jealous that I can not fish during the week"  ;D ;D .You definatly are as the saying goes "BORN TO FISH BUT FORCED TO WORK"  ;D ;D .
