AUGUST 31 STURGEON REPORT
« on: September 01, 2006, 09:02:23 AM »

Fished a few hours near the Haney wharf notta tap so we ran up to our favorite spot  :o 20 min up river . As we were Pulling in to anchor a six footer jumped clear outta the water this was very cool 8). Ten minutes after anchoring another huge Sturgeon jumps and huge splash is heard they were there in numbers as we sat there waiting for all hell to break loose we heard and seen over ten fish all Sturgie jumping all around us the sad thing was I had company showing up to my place around three and it was 1:30 so *I had 1/2 an hour to get one on and sure enough we did  ;D ;D ;D . here is the 5 footer which fought hard and jumped twice in the first five minutes of being hooked. It was a 20 min battle that was fun I had the clicker turned on ( the dinner bell for seals ) And when the fish went on a tear the seals showed up so I turned it off and they kept on watching so I figured I would bring the fish on board for a few picks then revive him till he was roaring to go and he swam off into the depths with an aggesive swipe of his tail .
