Headed to the north arm of the Fraser early afternoon with some freshly cured spring roe to fish the last of the outgoing tide, visability was great at least 12", Only seconds after I casted my girlfriends rod out it starts moving and I grab it and bring in a feisty little cutty around 12 inches, Ive always thought that cutties are one the most beautiful looking fish and this one was no exception, only wish I had brought the digi cam this time. We took turns casting spoons hoping to hook into one of the numerous chum making their way past us but none wanted to bite, caught and released a good dozen or so bullheads in the next hour or two then we packed it in for the day. Will be trying it again tomorrow with a higher tide, on a side note we usually tie baitloops and fish gobs of roe, today I used some leftover roe sacks and they were great, less mess and the coarse fish don't steal it right away, although Its always a good bet to check your bait often because today I left it in for a lengthy period of time only to reel it in and find a bullhead on both hooks.
