Please help unknowledgeable Manitoban

 ???
Hi folks,
Our family Christmas draw this year has landed me my brother-in-law.  He lives in BC, me in Manitoba, he is into fishing the Vedder River, I am not.  This is where you folks come in.  I'm hoping you can supply me with some ideas as to what to get him.  Good stocking stuffer ideas would be a huge bonus for me.  I know he does freshwater fishing only, if that helps.  Where can I get stuff?  Is there a good on-line shop I can look into?  What would be a good lure?  What in the world is fishing yarn/wool, and where do I get it?  (that was recomended to me).  Here in Manitoba we have the following retail places "The Fishin' Hole" as well as "SIR Mail Order"  Is there something I can look for at these places?  PLEASE HELP!  And thankyou!

Whats your budget?  A gift cert to Fred Tackle in Chiliwack may be a good idea.

Pips Leader boxes are something I could never justify spending $8 on but that would be a great stocking stuffer.  Add a pack of hooks, some leader, some corkies and spin n glo, yarn, etc and you'd have a nice little gift (for around $20) that any salmon  or steelhead fisher would appreciate..

I second Berry's Bait for mail order.

A couple of 24 gram Drennan piker or zepler floats would be real nice stocking stuffers, along with some Gammy hooks.
