spanish bank has a really big mud flat (more like fine sand and mud) when the tide is low. You can spot the shrimp holes cause its a hole
with a little hill around it. I have never pumped them ever in my life, but I have used my hand to just dig them out (usaully I don't find anthing, but sometimes I have caught them) so I know they are there. Some are like 12 cm long and have one really big claw.
Also, when the tide goes out its really fun to go and look at the weird stuff that get stuck out on the mud. Like little fish and huge crabs, but you got to get there just when the tide is going down, or the gulls will find all the fun stuff first. The crabs usually hide, but you can spot them as a big pile of sand that just doesn't look right. If you're a nice guy you can carry them to the water edge and they will wave goodbye at you.
