There has been a small word change in the freshwater salmon supplement. Please note.

Change to wording on Page 12 and 14 of the 2007-2009 Freshwater Salmon Supplement.

Pages 12 and 14 Number 5 currently reads: There is an annual limit of 10 adult chinook from all non-tidal waters.  All retained chinook must be recorded immediately on the back of your Provincial Non-tidal Angling licence.  An "adult chinook" in Region 3 or 5A is defined as being a chinook over 50 cm in size (fork length).

The description should read: is an annual limit of 10 adult chinook from all non-tidal waters.  All retained adult chinook must be recorded immediately on the back of your Provincial Non-tidal Angling licence.  An "adult chinook" in Region 3 or 5A is defined as being a chinook over 50 cm in size (fork length).

If you are participating in a chinook salmon fishery, always remember to check the defined length of adult chinook salmon in the rivers where you intend to fish. The length differs from system to system. For example, adult chinook length in Non-tidal Fraser is 50cm from May 1st to August 31st, but 62cm from September 1st to December 31st. Chilliwack River adult chinook length is 62cm year round.
