Spent the last 5 days up at Roche Lake west side rec site . Lots of fish around jumping every where . Packed up the boat and headed out for the day fly fishing . Started off with a few hits and misses , watched a couple other anglers pull in a few big Pannask Trout . Bang ! another fish on , took a run deep , then shot straight up like a nuke shooting out from an underwater submarine . I managed to settle the bugger down a little as the silver torpedo neared my boat , shot off a couple a flares to avoid a direct hit
couldn't do it
in a big splash she exploded with all her might and then !..........silence......... ? What just happened I asked myself as I wipe the water from my face
Anyway , enough of that bs . The fishing at Roche Lake was fantastic up until the rain pelted down so hard that it killed off the sage hatch .The next few days were to say the least ,spotty. The older fella in the next camp site to me was using the old faithful Ford Fender with a pink wedding band / worm . He had a 4.5 , 6 , a couple of around 3 pounders on ice . Couldn't of asked for a better time out for the holidays and look forward to going back in the fall. Cheers Fishers
