coolest boat accessory
« on: July 13, 2007, 06:31:22 PM »

Ok, I've been pimping my water ride lately.  With the batteries always on the charger, I always have to check the water levels.  It is a pain in the #$%.  So, I just added the quick fill battery watering system.  This is a sweet set up.  Now, I just put the tube in the water, give the bulb a squeeze and if water goes in, they need it, if not, the batteries are full.  Saves me a ton of time.  Probably doesn't help me catch any more fish, but hopefully will buy me more time on the water.  What's your latest boat accessory?

What are column mount controls?  What brand of downrigger are they for?  I have a pair of Scotty's.  I also just installed a remote throttle control for my kicker.  It is sweet to steer and control your speed of the kicker from the captain's chair.  I can control my speed down to the +/- 0.01 mph.

I saw a briefcase sized solar panel for your batteries, you open up the briefcast and then hook it to your batts. keeps your charge up and can extend your time on water...unless it pisses rain, then who cares.. ;)
