bamfield July 24th - 26th, 2007
« on: July 26, 2007, 02:17:26 PM »

Just got back from bamfield today i went up and stayed for 2 days and got our limit
tons of coho springs hali and ling. The big springs arent in yet but there are some decent
sized coho around i was fishing off shore both days. We got into a fish about every 5 minutes
there was so much bait around and on the surface we couldnt get the downriggers down.
Forgot the cam good trip

you got lucky. i was up there on the weekend and it was blowwing too hard to make a run offshore. picked up a few coho around the wall but had to work for them. where do you stay when you go up? lots of whales around kirby and flemming. they were the high light of our weekend.

yesterday it was getting pretty snotty offshore we were getting blown around pretty good, we stay at a ponderosa trailer park or something like that in the camper, theres a guy who runs it named Frank good guy. we hit the wall one evening and there was still loads of bait around there we hit about 4 coho off the bat but olny managed to land 2 small ones. I got up there saturday just when the gails started to die down there was still a warning on sunday but we stayed offshore until  about 2

Lucky b*****d! I was supposed to go. Oh well, I did incredibly well on the island fishing pinks on the fly and cutties in campbell river. Report later.

Sounds like a great trip Justin ;)
