I watched a couple guys sunday who were so damn good, can't figure out what move they were making to get the fly back up, very small almost reverse z ..then smooth as silk line back out and always high above the water..really cool to watch!!

I'm hoping there is no retention.  The nutrients will be needed upstream and the more fish that successfully spawn = hopefully more in two years times and then the chance for openings.  Pinks seem to be doing really well lately with ever increasing numbers in the lower mainland rivers each year, unlike sockeye and coho which seem to be taking a bit of a beating with ocean survival levels.

I do that as well but mine looks allot bigger, his was tiny...I couldn't do it and I was using my little spey rod...Time for lessons???

there will be NO retntion on pinks this year from what i hear. talked to two dfo officers and both said that returning numbers are extremely low. to bad with the strong run we had in 03. in fact the guy i talked to said it will most likely be closed for the next run as well. it will be good to let the little buggers recover, im all for it.
