Fully Guided Fishing trip. Bidding for a cause....
« on: August 31, 2007, 01:17:25 PM »

Hello fellow anglers,
as a few of you have noticed, I've been trying to raise funds for the
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (More info here:
http://www.fishingwithrod.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=15270.msg149664#msg149664)
and have asked many places for kind donations. One of which I think many
people would be interested is this fully guided sturgeon fishing trip from
local guide, Al Belhumeur from Pro Line Sports, in Mission. Al is an avid
fisherman and has been a tackle rep for 20 years and represent among
others Mustad fish hooks, Penn fishing tackle, Tuf line and Scientific
Anglers.

The details:

This auction will be for a fully guided Sturgeon trip for 4 people with
lunch included

The trip will leave from Mission and should be used by the end of
November.  Once we find out the winning bidder, myself or the winner will
contact Al (prolinesports@shaw.ca) to set a date.

Leave the Mission Boat launch at 8am and return around 4pm.

License's are not included.

Here's a picture to show you the boat he uses and what the winning bidder
may catch:

Regular price for this guided trip would be at $700, but you may be able
to get it for less!

How this auction style fund raiser works is that those people who are 100%
committed in purchasing the trip at his/her bidding price would either add
on to the below post with bid (or if they want to be anonymous they can
PM/email me and I will add on to the post that an anonymous person has bid
a set price).  There is no advantage for me to make up anonymous bidders
since all of the money raised will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation.

This auction will be posted on two sites: FWR and FishBC

The auction starts now and the deadline will be on September 23rd Sunday
(a week before the CIBC run for the Cure).  At exactly 12am on September
23rd Sunday I will see who the last highest bidder is and pronounce the
person as the winner and I'll contact him/her. Keep in mind that those who
posts a second or more after 12am on Sept 23rd will not count e.g the second BEFORE 00:01 on the 23rd.

PLEASE only bid if you intend on paying that amount if you win.

My email address is ptamkee@hotmail.com

The starting bid will be at $200. Keep in mind that all this is for a
great cause! Thanks and happy bidding!  :)

Congratulations Eskimo!  I will get in contact with you shortly.

Thank you everyone for participating!!!

This fund raiser has been a great one!  Our group has raised so far almost $5000 this year and it officially ends next week when the CIBC run for the cure race begins.  Thanks for your help everyone, especially Al for the guided trip and Eskimo for the winning bid!

Cheers
