Wading Etiquette and safety.
« on: August 31, 2007, 10:21:15 AM »

It won't be long till the rivers are chalk full of fish digging out Redd's and spawning.  Fisher-people will be madly wading and chasing these fish around.  To help these fish that have actually made it through the maze of nets, seals and hooks, please learn to recognize the spawner's and don't chase them off their Redd's.  Also, please don't walk over and through a Redd, there's plenty of river to go around.

One more thing about wading that shouldn't have to be said, but be careful.  No fish is worth risking your life.  As long as I can remember, there has been drowning accidents on the flow each year.  If you don't have traction soles on your boots (felt, aqua stealth) I'd highly recommend getting this before any other piece of gear.
