Some could say the same about the fish though. How much for a "charter" canso?

This is an easy situation to oversimplify about.Let me put in my two cents. When my kids were little my wife and I both volunteered up to 30 hours a week with their stuff.Soccer ,gymnastics, baseball etc.I love to fish slightly less than to breathe so this caused conflicts. My advice, compromise as much as you can.Sneak away if it doesn't hurt anything.Above all be patient and communicate. If you truly love one another you will find ways.If not make sure you get all the fishing gear before the final papers arrive! :)

Britguy! You're the winner if that's so......................Actually so am I, I go fishing sometimes more than twice a week.As long as my household resposibilities are being met then she has no say in the matter except "have a good day honey!"   Of course if it wasn't this way for me she'd be gone!

It shouldn't matter what it is, Mine started with Mt. Biking, road, hockey (again) hunting, hockey, golf and now fishing...She just says it's the flavor of the middle aged...We both cut each other enough space to do what we want when we need too..If you don't have that in your life then it's not a very healthy place to be...But some guys like being whipped..I know a few!!!

It's all about compromising.....for example, when my wife and I got married she wanted a cat.  I hate cats so we compromised ....and got a cat.   Get the point?

It's like the tree in the forrest thing and whether it makes a sound if no one is around to hear it but in these terms:   If a man is in a forrest and he says something and no women are around to hear him ....is he still wrong?

Never heard of the good old art of communication?
How about talking it over with your wife and telling her how you feel?

If she loves you and wants to keep you, she will certainly cut you some slack and let you head out more often. Perhaps in exchange of some perks for her - they are good at negotiating.

If not, your marriage is doomed anyway.

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true or is it something worse?

Create a situation for yourself that's a WIN/Win for both of you and communicaion is the key. If better is possible then is good good enough?
