ARE THERE ANY CNC folks in the house?
« on: September 29, 2007, 11:13:01 AM »

I want to modify a couple of my reels, with unique removals. Are there any CNC folks in the house, or: are there recommendations as to who to contact.
Thanks.  KD

Computerised Numeric Control - Controlling a Milling Machine via your PC. Also can control XY routers, and Plasma cutters, but CNC usually refers to Milling.

There is a certain set of anglers out there with loads of money......who think nothing of plopping down 6-800.00 for a piece of aluminum with a crank attached. (of course I'm kidding...most *are* worth the money...) These are cookie cutter reels: Anybody who buys a high-end factory reel has paid for the hype, packaging, brand mystique, and the actual reel. But: factory reels within the spec designate are all the same !!!
I have several reels where a little CNC action will make them one-offs. And a one-off is a lot more fun to own than a clone.
