My wife and a few other parents in our school run a fundraising program to help raising money for the school each year. This program is called "shopping for our school". The best part of this is it WON'T cost you anymore money than what you already spend.
This is how it works:
The school sells many different kind of cash cards. For example, Safeway, and Panago pizza.
For every dollars you spend on Safeway, Safeway will give 8% back to our school. You spend $100 on a Safeway cash card, you GET $100 worth of Safeway cash card, no less... Then Safeway will give $8 back to the school, not you.
Panago pizza works a little differently but helps our school even more. We sell $10 gift cert. for Panago pizza. With this gift cerf., you can get ANY 1 medium size pizza for free; tax included. If you look at Panago's menu, its medium pizza costs from $10.25 (meatball pizza) to $15.50 Veggie Mediterranean; and according to Panago, you can also order up to 7 topic of make-your-own medium pizza. The only restrictions on these gift cerf. is medium size only, pick up only, and 3 months from ordering date. And Panago Pizza will give our school 40% (yes, 40%) for each $10 cerf. we sell.
We also carry Chapter/Indigo/Coles (10%), all major gas stations cash card (2%), Rogers video (7%), HBC (3%), Starbucks (5%) and many more. But I tried to concentrate on just a few and the one I think people will use most of the time.
If you are shopping with Safeway, or ordering pizza, you can help our school out. And it is a great way for buying gifts like Chapter, or Starbucks giftcards. It won't cost you a dime (but my gas to delieve to you). Please don't make me drive too far
I work for them for free. And I also donate my photography time for the school (yearbook, group pictures, sport events, etc). And for the one that lives far away like vedder or something (I live in Vancouver, near cambie and southwest marine drive), perhaps we can arrange some where in the middle or the weekend... And I will try to gather as much order as possible so i can make a delivery to a few people rather than 1 person for $10 of gift cards.
The ordering date for the school is every first and third Monday of the month and delivery date = first and third friday of the month. So you order on Mondy, I will pick it up on Friday and going to try to get to you by the weekend, and please make it cash only.
Our school is St. Anthony of Padua in Vancouver. You can look us up if you want. My name is Charles Lam. I will email you my phone number if you wish to speak with me in person (
lamhoufai@hotmail.com) This is not a scam.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to meet some of you...
