Da Wack Nov. 22nd
« on: November 22, 2007, 09:48:08 PM »

Well I had to give it one last go as there was that report last week of someone still getting some chromers. With the frosty temps I decided to wait till things warmed up a bit ;) and arrived at 10am to clear skies, no frost and a perfect water level with 3-5 feet of visibility in greenish water. First spot saw no signs of anything not even chum. After about a dozen casts was about ready to move on and just about 2 feet from shore I felt a gentle pull and thought I had a twig at first and then it began to fight and realized it was a ho.  :)
Not a spectacular fight but unbelievably it was a chrome doe but regardless of being chrome with no missing scales you could tell the flesh of the fish was no where near as firm as in previous weeks. Moved on to two other spots with nothing and then to my honey hole where true to form I hit one more chromer and lost it. That one gave a much better fight and just lost it near shore.
That was it for the day and I packed it in at 12:30pm as I had work to take care of. Was using the tried and true Vibrax #5s.
Think that's it for the Wack until Steelies start to show. I haven't seen a tomato coho yet on the Wack this year  :-\ ...has anyone? Just seems really odd this late not to have seen any.
Tight lines!
