vedder flyrod steelhead
« on: December 29, 2007, 06:19:10 PM »

Well I hooked up with golfie and porkchop today for some casting practice on the vedder. We found some other members out on the flow like fishfinder, silvertrout, and timdog. I have never seen so many flyguys around. we fished mid and lower  :-X me and merc had a brief double headder but I did not see mine, it just turned and ran .Merc just decided to bust his off because he did not wanna touch his. ;D ;)

We decided to fish back through some of the same water we had fished earlier (after losing 2 fish there why not?)

Three casts in and "pluck-pluck-pull" the tell tale sighn of a steelhead take, after a very good battle I landed a 13lb 3 oz hatch doe, thanks paul for the help landing that slippery bugger.

All in all good friends good cigars and good weather.
