picnic in the lower mainland on the weekend

hi guys

me and my friends want to do a little bbq and do a little self pinic

any places to recommend ?

we want to go as far as 100 km e.g. chilliwack but nearer is better

we are on east vancouver

If you want to do a little fishing with it try Duncan Bar in Abby/Ft.Langley or 2 Bit Bar or Derby Reach. Derby Reach is the only ones with picnic tables but all three places have been known to produce jacks.

i do not plan to fish just wanna get the picnic tables :) and probably some nice scenery

Than go to Alouette Lake Park. Huge area with picnic tables. Also its gorgeous being inbetween the mountains.

If you're in East Vancouver, why not give Trout Lake a try. I was there last Sunday for the Veterans' annual picnic.

Gold Creek by Alouette Lake is a cool spot.

Cates Park is good too, just over the bridge in North Vancouver
