Scents
« on: August 31, 2008, 09:56:52 AM »

I have never used scents before. Coming from Alberta, most tackle shops there don't even sell it. Almost all the rivers and streams have bait bans anyways (a good thing in my opinion) and for lakes, it's just simply not required for fish like Northern Pike which are so territorial they just want to kill your lure even if they're not hungry.

So, if people are into applying scents, do they put it on almost anything they're using? Hardware/spin 'n glos/yarn?

Thanks

scents are good.  I love the new anise/krill by pro cure.  One thing to remember when using these scents on lures is to wash the lures off with lemon joy afterwards.  Like anything else, they can go bad, leaving you with a foul smelling lure.

I also add scent to my Roe while curing it. Currently I have 4 skeins in a Garlic scent and 2 skeins in anise scent. I'll let you know how it works in a few weeks LOL

Thanks for the input. I'll be trying it on my yarn for sure.
