Lost wallet= lost fishing licences
« on: September 09, 2008, 03:10:41 PM »

So I lost my wallet last night and aside from the my friend hole who took it and shopped with my credit card, I have to deal with some lost licences, some of which are my fishing ones. So how does one go ahead and replace them (fresh, salt, & tidal). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

Sorry to hear about that Alex

Anyways, It depends if you bought your licenses online or from the shop? If online, you can just reprint your license and tags for free, if you bought them from a shop, just got into riverside. You will have to fill out a sheets for the licenses, and also go out to the government agents office in Maple Ridge. Garry or Christian will give you all the info ;)

I had a similar experience with the fishing license, only mine was purchased online. So, as someone earlier said, I was able to print it again, and I have a brand new license.

For future years though, I wonder if the system could be improved so that it can keep track of how many fishing licenses one prints, or other wise prevent the potential abuse.

I believe that the current system can be potentially subject to abuse - I am thinking of the chinook caught and recorded on the license, which can be just another print of a fresh license.

Cheers,
C.

I bought my license online this year. Wife decided to clean off my dresser and tossed my BC and WA state fishing license while I was on a business trip. Buying online madei it easy because once you establish a user ID and password, you can go back anytime and reprint your license.
Wish they were all that easy.
Sorry to hear about your wallet and credit cards.
