Bob's Sporting
« on: September 12, 2008, 03:29:49 PM »

As some of you may know Bob Goble owner of Bob's Sporting in Burnaby was in ill health last year. As a result, the store was closed. Earlier this year I learned that John who worked for Bob bought the store and was in the process of renovating and planning to reopen it. This morning I drove by and the store was boarded up again and a big "For Rent" sign on the window. Too bad.

Just to clarify .... yes it did take a while for John to reopen the store ... although breifly. However the building was bought by another party and they bumped up the lease, bigtime ... making it just to hard for John to continue the business there. Speaking with him the last time before closing up ... he was going to sell everything online. I'm trying to find that info out.
