Vedder Report 9/20/2008
« on: September 22, 2008, 10:28:16 PM »

Khin and I tried our luck around the canal area. Lots of fisher around but no fish for the first couple of hours.

I think it must have been high tide 2 hours later because we started to see them jump every once in a while. We saw this huge wave and thought..wow!! that was a humongous fish. A head popped out of the water and it was a big ugly SEAL!!!! You can see her chasing fish around. It must have gotten tired and she disappeared.

Around 10:00am, my buddy hooked in a beauty and it was a red to boot!!!!. Fish started jumping but none would take my offerings.

We left around 11:00am and on the way back to our car, we saw one of our buddy fighting a fish. As he was fishing on the dyke, he had to fight it against all the trees. It was funny watching as he tried so hard to put his rod over the big trees. He eventually had to break off the line.

Here's a couple of pictures.
