Harrison River, October 26th 2008
« on: October 27, 2008, 08:12:29 PM »

I got out to the mouth of the Harrison for the first time this year on Sunday. A great day on the water with lots of sun. There were lots of boats, and an incredible amount of fish showing, but unfortunately, we got skunked!
Most of the fish showing were chums, but there were definitely a lot of coho mixed in as well.
We threw just about everything in the tackle box at them but to no avail. Most boats seemed to be doing about as well as (or as poor as) us, but a couple of boats did extremely well and hooked fish continually. We were tempted to head on over to see what they were using, but resisted the urge and continued to get skunked!
Next time I guess.

Hmmm.
I head out in a boat for the first time this year instead of shore fishing and I bring a tackle box instead of my fishing vest so somehow I'm a beak.
Nice crowd

UFC, they're joking. That's why the ;D was used at the end of each post.

I use one when I am out in my boat too.

Also a few years ago I started using a back pack when river fishing from the shore and some of my fellow fishers laughed at me and said I looked more like a hiker than an angler. ;D ;D

It comes down to what is more convenient and handy to each individual what one wishs to use.

When I lived on the mainland and had my boat I had a tackle box in my boat as well. Dont sweat what they are saying as they are all joking.
