Fished the shore line of Steveston on Saturday
Was supprised to find no one else fishing
I hooked into three dollies landed two and lost one at my feet
It was a lot of casting and moving around but worth it
the bigger one was about 16inches
The takes were very light almost as if i just hooked some weed then there would be a few head shakes and small runs
Tide was low and still om the way out while i fished

Those light takes that resemble weed drags have driven me bonkers lately. ::) Never have I experienced bull trout taking lures so lightly. Three in one day is fantastic, good for you, because the last time I hooked one was on February 6th. It was a rather big fish, the take felt like dragging on the weed so the hookset was terrible. The fish fell off after a few rolls, which wasn't really a surprise. Water clarity is fantastic right now, just need to find them. :)

Hmmm...gotta head out there again.  I have tried Steveston a few times over this winter period with no success so far - it's just a great spot to hang out even if there are no takers.

Britguy and I had a brief chat today. The sun was bright, the water was clear, but the fish were not biting. :P Maybe he hooked up after I left.

Two weeks of drought, almost time to defrost some roe if they don't start grabbing those spinners and flies soon. :-\
