That entire area is sandy and quite shalllow. When boating, 30' is deep water. While crabbing by boat near Whiterock I have thrown fished with bait on the bottom. Didn't catch anythign though!

Good fishing for Flounder off the dock or out with the tide. Should be good later this month and into summer. Usual technique will do. Limit your kill don't kill your limit. Also dog fish for the big bite.  :)

stlucio hi White Rock & over by Cresent Beach the waters are very shallow(as mentioned) but should ya go down the stairs at Ocean Park to the railway track & shoreline... then walk south along the track ( be very very careful because trains literally can sneak up on ya ...mainly the passenger train... many people have been killed in that whole area...) ... it may be a 5-10 min walk.... Then you will find an area of beach that gets much deeper at high tide. ----Heard people catch fish with spinning gear..... If ya boat & go to this area be very careful as many huge giant boulders can lie just under the surface 100's of yards from shore so it can be like a mine field. ---- Ya can get to this spot from either beach with 40 or so minutes walk....but can't say enough about safety as some trains ya can hear miles away... others by the time ya hear them you can have only 5-8 secs to get off the track ( winds blowing can affect train noise or if track is straight or curving around a corner...

I have caught some cutty's at the mouth of the little C. Most at high tide. Sea weed can get frusterating from time to time.
