I had a fishing trip up there a couple of years ago this time of year.  The bass fishing was awesome, lots in the 2-3lb range, one arond 5lbs.  Trout fishing was terrible, but I think it was due to an algae bloom in the lake (which I think is pretty common there).  I'd stick to the heavy cover around the shore and near the little island in the lake.  Dew worms worked better than anything else.

Was there two weeks ago. It was dead for everyone. Only a couple caught. My buddy was lucky as he got one around 5lbs. Apparently this past weekend though it was really started to get going. I guess the water temperatures warmed up a couple degrees and it pushed the bass in closer. The trout fishing will be good deeper. The lake is a shallow lake but their are a couple spots that where it opens up from the channels that would be your best places to try. Its a cool looking lake with all those channels.

Deepest it gets is about 18 feet. The mean depth is around 11-12 feet. Lots and lots of weeds everywhere.
