When they allowed the salmon fry to escape when there was no fish in the PENS... there was a healthier return. When the salmon fry left the rivers to go out to sea & the FISH FARM PENS are full of salmon ...very little returning salmon. ------------------Plus test catches one can see the majority of fish were LOADED WITH LICE. ---------- Ya can also go to YOU TUBE & put in the search ..... sea lice problem ........MORE EYE OPENNERS---------------- Plus look what the experts have said what happened in Norway. ONLY WAY I THINK THAT VICTORIA WILL GET IT ...BASICALLY IS HAVING 3-4 PROTESTERS WITH SIGNS & FREE HAND OUT DVDS IN VICTORIA 7 DAYS A WEEK to tourists & MP's THEN & ONLY THEN VICTORIA MAY LOOK AT THE PROBLEM MORE SERIOUSLY... & THE MEDIA DO MAJOR STORIES. 6 PM NEWS --- W 5 5TH ESTATE 20 20 60 MINUTES etc.... Squeaky wheel gets the grease...................Did you see the part where they showed an written article saying how the farm fish were not good for your health... eat only 3 per yr. (warning) ............ I remember the Vancouver Province 90% sure on that... 10% maybe it was The Sun ... anyways a few years ago had a story backed by scientists telling to eat 1 fish only per month.---------------- My point is these FARM SALMON are unhealthy to eat ... along with the fact they are spreading SEA LICE to the wild salmon. ---So what's the point to have fish farms ( LOVE OF MONEY my guess...$$$ makes people "look away")------ ( on a side note it was so sad she lost her mate because of equipment failure... so sad indeed.. ) The show was very moving interesting & based on FACTS. 1 plus 1 = 2 -------------- Why can't our Gov's take action... Really beyond me. When ya see small salmon LOADED WITH LICE..... where there are fish farms in the area & where there are no farms the small wild salmon are lice free........... END OF STORY.--- People who live in the area of fish farms who have seen wild salmon declines must be so very dis appointed... Hope other people will be on the LOOK OUT should someone want to start a fish farm in new areas of BC's coastline(s).
