Fraser River - Adult Springs
« on: September 15, 2009, 03:13:05 PM »

Is anyone still fishing for the adult Red Springs along the Fraser river (upper or lower section)?
Are they still in the river?;

yes, they are still in the river and I would assume that plenty of people are fishing for them, just a lot more white's in there now.

Has anyone landed a spring on Fraser lately?  On which section and on what kind of gear you catch them with?
Thx.

I watched a man at peg drag up a large white spring that he snagged  not to many of them though only see one or two a day out of over one hundred guys join the fun though theres enough room for everyone.

Spring Master -------------Springs ...coho ...trolling from our boat in the Fraser ...rubber bait fish (baitrix) & also 4-5 inch spoons (multi colored with silver) have worked for us. From shore I guess ya have to have at least 15-20 lb line & have to cast a fair distance...so rod & weight of spoon etc...is important. They are aggressive hitters so my guess spinners etc...that are presented they will hit. The Frase R as Rod has brought up has a bait ban presently.

Our group landed 2 white springs bar fishing above Harrison River. Arima...you troll the Fraser? I don't think I have heard anybody doing this...I have trolled for pinks but just on the surface. Are you using downriggers, flashers, etc? Thanks
