Cates Park?

Anyone know if cates park worth a trip this time of year?

I try it last weekend lost 2 Buzz bomb your better off at Ambleside and under the lion gates bridge  you just have to squeeze in ...Goodluck!!

Why did you lose your lures? you dont have to be deep. at least I dont think you do. My impression is that they strike near surface.

the pinks went past cates park first 2 weeks of august but dident hang around as they usually do. they are up at indian river now. they are getting the seymour pinks under the lions gate bridge and they should show up at the river soon,was at the river last night nothing seen. some coho have already gone up the seymour but still early days for both.

like ynot said, the pinks have moved past cates and it is virtually dead there right now. your best to try near the lions gate for pinks and coho.

Is the Indian full of pinks or what???? Wondering why they didn't stick around this year. How do you guys know that they have moved PAST Cates, maybe they are just not there?

i  have been here in deep cove for 27 yrs. the run sometimes goes past cates, i have seen them off buntzen power house and further up the arm. end july they show.4yrs ago they went straight up the arm.  the seymour river brood stock came from the chilliwack hatchery should be good sept.like the fraser.
