Fished the lower Fraser this morning for pinks. Fishing was good. At least 8 caught....................if you're fishing for pinkminnows or chubs.

just looking through my fishing journal and realized most of the pinks i caught on the lower fraser( i only fish from river road ladner to the fort langley side) 2 years ago were from september 6-10 2007. large fish and lots of them. Latest was september 17 for the lower fraser.1993 was by far the most productive year for me in which i caught pinks coho sockeye and chinook regularly again 2 weeks into september. That year we used 3inch pink pearl buzzbombs and just destroyed them. Last pink season used gold hammered crocs with pink or red stripe. looks like there is still time for their arrival....2 weeks at least and we should be into the motherload. Just hang in there fellas.

Yes, I have found the pikeminnow and chub fishing extremely productive.   Thanks for the report, I figured it might still be a bit early.
