Slipped out for a couple of bar fishing trips the last few days. Yesterday with three rods in we only had one chance and by the time Pistol Pete got to the rod the fish had gone. My clients were disappointed that he was not faster. ;D ;D

Saw one landed and one lost by a couple of anglers in a boat. Also caught on video a bear swimming down the middle of the river and then climb up on the bank when it reached the shore.

Today out for 3 hours in a different location and saw a couple landed. A few pinks surfacing and staking out their territory to start their families in the soon to be dug redds.

Another angler pointed out to me a net hung up on some snags, reported to FOC and they were coming for it when I left for badminton. The net was just under the surface and could be very dangerous to some boat that could get tangled up in it.

Did not see one BB in the areas today or yesterday which was a good sign although there will be some in other locations I know.

Tomorrow I think I will hit pay dirt, of the silver variety. ;D ;D

Hey Chris!  tihs is way off topic!  But, I meaning to ask you.  Since it seems like you're a big vedder guy.   If i was to fish the lower river for coho/pinks/white spring woud i be wastingmy time at this point? i come all the way from surrey as well.  I'd like to try bar fishing but i dont know where to go and try that either.

Thank in advance!

Franky,

Yes you would be wasting your time. Mid September should be good to go.
