Snuck out from work for a long lunch today. Was fishing the tidal fraser above fort langley. Was into two pink, landed one. Put up a surpisingly good fight for a pink, made a couple really good runs. We'll see how it tastes on the bbq. Saw another seven caught in the time I was there between the other anglers below me.

???Does the sandheads fish come thru the north arm. I have not seen much schooling of pinks near the north arm. Any inputs? Thanks :)

Gotta love the old pink with the white lightning bolt! ;)

I started out using another pink lure and noticed that one laying in a foot print filled once the tide rolled out. Figured i would switch over too it and bang a fish. Love getting fish on stuff i find along the river.

hooked one at gp and got it to shore, had lots of hits on fly,  had a guy in a 12 ft. alumuminum drive in close to shore and yell at me " What the F are you fly fishing for this isnt a lake its the F en fraser river you ittiot" i just smiled and laughed and knew that i probably had much more success than him from shore than in his awsome boat. :D ::)

Caught on a rodney special  ;D

Good to see that it has been producing for others, because it sure has not produced for me. ;) :P While I have been able to find fish since two weeks ago, hooking and landing them has been a challenge.

Finally there were signs of much bigger schools of fish emerging during the incoming tide. I managed to snap a rod to start the afternoon, so had to settle with the ultralight pikeminnow rod. Sure enough, as luck would have it, I managed to hook three and missed numerous other bites. All three fish got off, not surprisingly, since I had a hard time embedding that thick shank hook into the fish with the thin rod. The second fish stayed on for quite awhile, almost spooled me before it popped the hook out. I was quite confident that it was a chinook judging by how fast it was peeling line off the reel. My UK guest Iwan managed to hook three fish as well, but all came off after brief fights. Fishersak had to settle the day with a pikeminnow, but at least he landed the only fish of the day. ;D

Here they come! :)

Was up in the Mission area and the fish showed up right at dusk. I had about a 15 minute window. I hooked one, fought it for a bit and than lost it. Not lots of risers but a few all at high slack. No fish around with the incoming tide, all at high slack. Made a few more casts but it got too dark so had to leave.

Up around Poplar close to high tide (it was still slowly moving in to top out) from 7:30 - 8:30 and nada.... just as I got there there were a few jumpers but that died quickly and nothing until lost the light.  There were a CRAP LOAD of fisherman last night tho - three or four times the amount there have been for the past few days.

A word to those that bring kids to populated fishing areas - I'm all for taking kids fishing, I take mine and their friends all the time - B U T - Keep them under some kind of control - large rocks do NOT need to be thrown into the water mere feet from other fisherman, a rousing game of TAG ripping around other fisherman, loud yelling and screaming - these things tend to be a tad annoying to others.  Either teach them to fish, get them involved, take them to an unpopulated spot or leave them at home.

There, my 2c and I feel well, still pissy!  ;D

hahah.....totally agree but unless supernanny is involved with people like that, I have news for you....it ain't changin' anytime soon!
Drove over the north arm yesterday afternoon and saw about 5 fish come up in the span it took to go over the gilbert bridge....wish I'd had my rod with me.
