little jewel in langley b.c

went to trinity western university on monday/10/2010 fished their pond catch n realease only,i would recommend parents wanting to take their kids fishing and hopefully catch fish. went with a friend and between the two of us we were consistantly hooking onto fish 4 different species (pumkinseed,squawfish,bass and catfish) ,float fishing with worms work great.also the whole pond is open to fishing ,parking is free in the student parking lot only on weekends. best of luck. 8)

Interesting, I suppose they're letting you fish in there cause schools out till September. So you were fishing in the pond that the fountain is in? How big were the fish you caught, any pics?

sorry guys, no pics didnt bring camera that day.i was also talking to the resident care taker he mentioned something about trying to introduce salmon back into that pond and creek that run parrallel to the pond. the fish we caught were about 6-8 inches but the catfish was close to 2 lbs wish i had my camera mayb next time. 8)

How do they drain the pond if its connected to the stream?Fished it last week and hooked bass,pumkinseed ,whitefish and my buddy hooked a trout.I hooked a bass that had a tag on it anyone no why?

 if the tag was orange it is a seniors bio project i think... she asked me to release it if it was ever caught ...  i have had some good days there this year and cant wait till the bigg boys/girls are done spawning.. i think it needs to warm up a bit for that to happen... caught a nice one round two pounds... on a chartreuse spinner bait...and have seen some bigger fish cruising around..  it has some large carp in there as well...please leave it cleaner than it was when you got there... and no drinking and smoking is all the staff ask...
