Chilliwack River, September 14th 2009
« on: September 14, 2009, 11:39:35 AM »

Started heading to chilliwack at around 5:20 am on no sleep.  Was simply way to excited to get to bed.  So off i went, arrived at the destination to realized my older brother had taken my gear at some point. So i made a float out of some foam i had in the truck and weights out of rocks!!!! That definately didn't get me any hits!!!!! Finally 7:30 hits and i run to Fred's tackle quickly!! The fish were jumping everywhere all morning!! Everyone else seem to be using yarn, but seen no hits!  I get my gear and get back to the spot!! The pinks just did not stop hittin! I landed about 4-5 Pinks! Those were all released!!  Finally i get a nice big chunk of roe on and toss her out.  SNAP!!! It's a fighter!!! land myself a nice Jack!!  Two casts later!! Again!! Nice wild coho!! Didn't want to try and take a picture of that and risk inuring the fish so i didn't bother!!  I can't wait to go out again!! Definately worth it!!  I saw two other pinks.  Either than that i felt like the king off the vedder today!!  Fished for a good 2-3 hours.

Thanks to everyone who replied on my other thread!! I was definately away from everyone.

Franky,

Right on, Franky, glad you had a good day!  You can really tell you were excited, as I've never seen so many exclamation marks in one post.  ;)

I fished the canal in the afternoon and saw a few fish rolling around. I hooked one fish that I'm fairly certain was a coho but lost it when it started rolling.

I stopped by the canal today after returning from the Columbia River. Not as many people as I thought. Lots of room to fish. Fresh pinks are every were. Gonna go this weekend.
