Green Timbers Lake, November 3rd 2009
« on: November 03, 2009, 04:54:42 PM »

One good reason to be on this site is to get the real meal deal on what's chowing. Went to GT this morning befor work to try a few casts and work the Pug out. Fished for about hour and a half and the old fish wagon pulls in. They park right were I'm casting and proceed to get ready to unload the truck. Took the camera out and was ready to get some pictures of the wee trout being released when low and behold they say that the truck is loaded with kelts. Knowing the lower mainland sport fishing establishment is geared to spawned out fish for the table, I guess they decided to give the crowd what they want. And give they did.

Wagonmaster getting fish the easy way

Heavy load for 5 fish

To the lake they go

again and again

If only the people catching them would be so gentle releasing them

This one wanted back in the truck.

150 of them. 3 year olds. Just finished spawning hmm hmm good. I give them a week before there gone so get them while there hot. The usuals will be taking there limit twice daily anyway. So fill your boots matey :)

That would be fun for the kids!!!! I hope many of you can take your kids out for this fishery. Imagine their faces after reeling in a 3-4lb trout. I wish I could but kids are at grandpas this weekend.

I didn't ask but no doubt they will be doing the other usual lakes as well. They said they would be posting the stocking info or Rod would be for them anyway :) Really something seeing all those big trout right by shore then spread out across the lake. So don't all rush out to Surrey and risk getting your car broken into just for a big spawner.
