Hey Buckknife,
I noticed this information in the fishing report section under lower mainland by Rodney about the Squamish river

Bull trout, rainbow trout and cutthroat trout are now staging and feeding on salmon eggs. Flyfishing with egg patterns can be deadly for these species. Look for side channels where water tends to be clearer. Please practice good catch and release on these species.

Watch water levels with milder, wetter weather. The Cheakamus below the Cheekeye was very poor visibility today.

The trout are there if you find them, some nice bulls to be had. Just wanted to add that this is a barbless, catch and release fishery. Caught one bull today that had suffered serious injuries to its jaw from what was likely the result of being caught with a barbed hook.

That's correct. Chum salmon retention ended on November 29th.
