Steelies In The Vedder/Chilliwack River
« on: December 01, 2009, 05:04:08 PM »

Dec. 1 starts the blood to heat up for steelies in our local river.  What a beautiful day today in the Wack.  Steelies should be coming in slowly this week.  Some of the most beautiful fish are the December run, strong and steel coloured.  Supposed to get cold on the weekend which will cause the river to drop to perfect level for first trip to the flow. Enjoy the year steelie fishers.  Take someone out who has never been before and baptize them into the great adventure.  By the way, Merry Christmas to all.

Me too but I can't say I am expecting much from all I have read about the elusiveness of this species.  I just want and excuse to get out in the open air over the winter period  :)

[I tried once in March this year but I think that day was around -10 degrees - way too cold]
