Squamish River, November 14th 2009
« on: November 17, 2009, 06:52:49 PM »

Saturday was slow at first light with a few rollers showing . Nothing taking jigs , wool or spoons . I dicided to try one of the tributaries in search of some coho . Seen a few tomato coho's rolling . Hooked a fair size coho on a colorado blade , lost it a second later . In the end I landed a nice chum and gently releast her back into the wild  ;D

Not many guy's there , just looky loos . Most Guy's were at the Squamish down at the mouth of the Mamquam or there  abouts . Pretty slim pickins everywhere . I was fishin the side pockets below the pool . There are lots in that pool but it is very unaccessible on the sides so . I did hook a coho in there but working your presentation up stream is not very affective . Cheers

Nice fish, Armytruck!  :)

The Squamish can always yield a nice gift or two...provided you are willing to get away from the crowds...
Same day, probably not too far from where you were:

Nice river. Even when the fishing is slow...

Milo funny enough we did the same on Saturday to avoid the crowds and were rewarded. They are so plugged full of food its almost disgusting. And still were chasing big intruders.

It's a 2078 Pflueger President. Very nice and smooth reel. Fabulous drag, too.
