herring in the Faser river

Hi,

I heard rumors that this year again there is herring at the mouth of the fraser river.
Has anyone seen them of fished for them? Apparently last year the canal between Steveston Island and the mainland was full of them.

fishable
if you go to the steveston, you'll see many people on the dock fishing for herring
the new regulation said only 2 hooks are allowed
not that many of them this year now
