720 is outgoing technology. In a year or so they will sell them no more. Full HD(1080p) will be a norm pretty much soon. Technological development is accelerating faster every year and it is worth to invest extra money for 1080p. LG has a superb service. Our company in Kelowna is an Authorized Service Centre for LG and others.

As a former electronics store employee, many years ago, I would not suggest buying a plasma tv ever. Yes their picture can be very good, but they've been known to have problems, gas leaking, picture dies etc. the cost of repair for those things is ridiculous. It won't be long til plasmas are phased out.
LCD or LED all the way lol 8)

Bought my dad a Panasonic LCD tv on his 80th birthday four yrs ago at Future Shop in Richmond. (how time flys) Turns out he gave me that tv & he bought himself a 42in plasma. (1080p)  According to him his eyes are not so strained.  With the LCD he got "sore eyes".
Saw a tech. show recently & it said ...if ya think tv's are thin looking now....in a few months tv's will be avaible for sale that are SUPER thin.
Also it is well known they are coming out with newer tv's that will not be such a power hog. Will need a way less electricity.

I think the plasma's should be sold with this type of ad.    "FOR SALE... PORTABLE SPACE HEATER ,PLASMA TV COMBINATION.....watch your favourite tv show & at the same time heat your room ..."  ;D

Have ya ever put your hand over the top grill of a plasma tv? Sure can feel lot's of heat coming out of it !!!!
Costco does have good deals though on so many things. Pick & choose... One post I read recently was a chap got something like $4-$5 thousand total knocked off his new 4x4 Ford Escape & $1000 of that was just because he was a Costco member. That's good bargaining.
