Chilliwack River, January 30th 2010
« on: January 30, 2010, 03:27:59 PM »

Fished some beautiful stretch of water today and not a single sniff. My buddy touched one for a brief second and it got off before he had to chance to battle it.

Talked to a few guys and most reported nothing for the last few days.

Few and far between, but here's how I ended my day. Had someone's hot pink procured roe in it's belly.
7.2 lb doe on the bbq while we watch the Canucks roll over the Leafs.

Its been tough this week. 28th I hit one atleast 15 judging by the tail size and body thickness. had it on for about 10 seconds and she rolled into the fast waters and hook came out  :-\ she waved me goodbye and gave the jewlery back

ChromeKings was not literally chumming, he is saying that he used plenty of roe in that run without triggering a bite.

Nice fish! I found its twin in between Peach and Lickman. My first of the season ;D. She couldn't resist the prawn. Saw two other hatchies bonked and a couple wilds caught.

First time out this season.  Fished a few spots from Sumas Prairie and up..... long line release at SP, and had not heard of anything else.

Any steelie is a nice catch regardless of the size given the slower fishing condition. Congrats & thanks for the report. Just hope next week my flu bugs are done and gone so I can go back steelie hunting.  ;)
