Tidal Fraser River, February 19th 2010
« on: February 20, 2010, 01:21:53 AM »

Cant believe it but today was the first time in 2010 I went fishing. Took the afternoon off and headed over to Annacis Island for a couple of hours.
River was in great shape about 3 feet of visability. Even saw a good deal of baitfish...so I thought to myself - I just may catch something.
Nope, nothing, but still had a great time hiking around the island. I'm sure next time will be different!
One thing, in past visits there has never been much litter. There seems to be more.
If you decide to try your luck out this way please pick up after yourself.

Right on.

I have been fishing once or twice a week in Richmond and not really catching much except flounders but it sure is nice to get out.  I do a little beach-combing everytime as well and end up with enough bar fishing gear that I don't have to buy any   ;D

It has been pretty slow so far this year. I was hoping that the spike of daytime temperature in the last few days would result in what I experienced in February 19th-22nd last year, when I managed to hook 8.

Today I finally spotted a roll on the surface, feeding for sure, but no takers. Two more days before the rain returns, perhaps something will happen. :)
