Chilliwack River, May 13th 2010
« on: May 13, 2010, 02:22:15 PM »

Was out again for an 2 hours this morning - had one Bull Trout about 6 lbs, saw 4 other anglers which compared to recently, made my section crowded.  The water conditions are fantastic with the lowest flow I have seen for this time of year and perhaps that is why there so many mergansers, herons and gulls on the river taking advantage of the recent hatchery releases.

If this summer proves to be dry, the Vedder - Chilliwack will be a trickle in September.

Freshet will be coming soon Dave, the Fraser is low for this time of year too due to the unseasonable cool temperatures in April and May.
