Fishing the Merritt area
« on: June 29, 2010, 07:48:51 PM »

Hi all.  I usually go lake fishing around Merritt (Nicola, Glimpse, Marquart) but the wind up there can really put a halt to being out on the water.  I've got an Aquamarine 11' inflatable with an electric trolling motor which normally is great...except in the wind.  Does anyone know, any reasonable fishing lakes in the Merritt area that are somewhat protected from the wind?  This weather is starting to frustrate me...argh!.   >:( Thanks in advance all  :)

Its a valley it gets windy. Any real remote lakes are held tightly and usually not divulged to just anyone. Their are so many resources available to people now that asking is not even needed anymore. Pick some lake and try it. I have already tried a couple new lakes this year.
