i want to make my own soft baits like trout worms and tubes so i am wondering what is needed and how to make them

You need a mold and plastic. I make my own rubber worms.

how many rubber worms do you go threw in a season?probably cheaper to put in a order with bass pro shops and buy a few bags of worms

use a microwave and a pyrex measuring cup, do 30sec. and keep stirring.
you can fine tune it with how many worms your melting.

just like a guy who tie's his own flies. something about catching a fish on any home made product feels better.  ;D

Just do a google search on "making plastic worms".  Full detailed instructions on many sites.  As far as product goes, try Del Mart, Barlows Tackle, M-F Manufacturing, Lure Craft, Bobs Tackleshack, and theres many more.  Just google the names of the sites for their address.  Dont expect to get rich either.  Use good ventilation and dont pour 350 degree plastic on you.  It will take a couple hundred dollars to get going.
