Definately slower than I thought it was going to be.  Managed one spring jack that turned out to be a red on a spoon.  Still lots of smolts around.  Water was nice, a bit of colour to it.

I'll throw my own little report in here and I must say that Chris' comment rings oh-so-true for me as well. This morning at first light the action was non-stop and I had 4 fish on in 25 minutes before finally hooking a tank that took me up river about 100 yards, then made a beeline back for the Fraser and took me all the way down to the arbor knot...... so 200 yards of braid shot off in 20 seconds. Bite really seemed to slow down at least for me and another guy when the first heat of the day started around 9 o clock.

Lots of sockeye moving into Sweltzer Creek on route to Cultus Lake today, be careful and let these guys go spawn. This year is the best since 1999 for sockeye in Cultus according to fence counts, so lets make sure every one either gets collected for broodstock or get's a chance to spawn.

I took a look down on the river from the Vedder Crossing bridge and it was a carpet of springs stacked up below the rapid upstream. For those of you headed for the Vedder, stop for a minute and take a look off the bridge and you'll probably see what I mean.

I haven't posted in a  bit, so I thought I would put my hat in the ring as well. Fished train bridge in the morning and it was murky and slow. a couple of fish hooked between 10-12 guys and nothing landed.

Moved up river. Saw quite a few on the move, but couldn't get any to take until the last 1/2 hour. Managed a good size coho. Nice water, and not too many guys. Beautiful day and one fish. Not one for the books, but not one to complain about either. :)

We fished the noon day sun and oh boy fish were jumping all over but no taker. Only when light get dim in evening them some bite but no luck still. Do most of you who reported great fishing only catching them early morning first light? Most people fishing bright day light just not catching them, especially coho. Should save gas just fish tidal Fraser for ocean fresh chum.  ;D  Where can I go for that and what do you use? Are there chum specialists for lower Fraser (below mission) care to give out some tips?

My best luck has been at first light and especially after a solid rain. Find some clean water flowing into the river and work the clear/dirty seam. Laugh when I see people off the river because it's chocolate milk, my best days are when it's dirty and yes I'm short floating and not flossing.
