Stave River, October 22nd 2010

Took a friend out to the Stave today. She has always said she wanted to go with me, so I finally talked her into actually doing it! Was pretty quiet today (as it seems to have been all season for me...) but we managed to hook into a few. Released two at the beach (plus one that was tail hooked..I remember now why I don't fish spoons alot there...). Funny thing happened while we were there...Val calls downstream to me: "There's a fish on my foot!" I had finally remembered to bring a camera with me for a change, so I snuck up to where she was, hoping to get a decent shot of a mouldy old chum. Imagine my surprise when I saw this!

Not the best underwater shot ever, but that is Val's boot on the left of the image.

This is a picture of where the adipose should have been!

After a couple minutes, it just leisurely swam away.
