Water is really dirty now and will probably remain so until freshet is over. Visibility is around 0.5ft, so if you keep spinning with a big lure, you can still get into some fish. We've been fishing with bait lately because of the water clarity. On Wednesday I managed to lose one bull trout. Today I fished briefly for an hour before dark. Instead of bottom fishing with roe pieces, I used a float with roe sacs instead. The bites were pretty constant. Most were sculpins while there were strong pulls in between by bull trout. I managed to lose three bull trout in a row. The first one was quite big and popped off the hook before I realized that my drag was way too tight.
