Summer Moorage in Vancouver?
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:02:48 PM »

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for temporary moorage in Vancouver in late July-early August.  Would be for a 19' boat.  Thanks  ;D

You'll have to get lucky, perhaps you could contact a sailing or boating club.
Some of these folks go for the two week or so tour of the coast and will often sublet for that time.

Perhaps go for a walk around Mosquito Creek Marina, or Granville Island or Sewells and talk to some folks.
To get moorage in vancouver You need to wait on a list for a few years, buy a boat that already has a spot or get some really comfy knee pads.

It'll probably be difficult particularily since you want it at prime time.

There are a couple marinas in the lower fraser (Richmond, New West, Ladner, Deas Slough) but I don't recall the names.
Reed Point in POMO

Good luck
