Blue Lake Resort - Boston Bar area
« on: July 15, 2011, 03:18:40 PM »

Has anyone ever been to this place before? the website looked nice and the prices were decent. Even when we called they gave us a site that said was "all the staffs FAVOURITE site"... (I take that with a grain of salt ofcourse).

but now i've run into a website reveiwing the campsite and it looks as if no one is happy about the place, staff, or owners?
and i know not to always believe what you read as it could be very easy for one unhappy customer to go under several different internet handles
just to bad mouth the place.

Thought i would turn to you faithful folk for opionions if you've vistited before.
Any thoughts on the fishing in the lake there as well would be appreciated

......feeling nervous now  :-\

My family had frequented this site for years (under previous owners) but my brother has returned every year for the past few years.  I have never heard him complain, but I will see what he has to say.  I can tell you it is a nice private lake with clean water, a small swimming area (nice for kids) and both a floating swimming dock and couple of boat docks.  The fishing is fair for small rainbows, bait or fly.  There is a nice trail that leads to the top of the cliff overhanging the site and offers spectacular views.  I would suggest trying it out and seeing for yourself.  If the current owners are not pleasant people, you simply do not return.

Was there about 10 years ago, the month was September. Stayed in a very "rustic" cabin, would rather stay in a tent than the cabin we stayed in. Other than that the lake is small but nice, lots of small rainbows in the 8 to 10 inch range. Grouse hunting was good in the area as well.
